About

I am a third-generation professional seamstress, learning sewing and fashion design concepts from my mother, grandmother, and great aunts. While in junior high and high school, I worked with my mother in a home business, designing and creating high-end Western riding clothing for the horse show circuit in Texas and Oklahoma.  We also designed and created sewn and knitted items for local craft and Christmas shows.

I graduated with a BA in Fashion Design from Texas Woman's University in 2014. I was the recipient of the People's Choice Award at the 2013 Red Heart Fashion show, sponsored by the American Heart Association. I also had the privilege of having two of my designs walk the 2013 Dallas Market Day Fashion Show Runway.

My greatest strength is my ability to contribute throughout the entire costuming process--working with actors and directors in envisioning characters, sketching and modifying designs, creating my own patterns, and custom-fitting the completed costumes to the actors. I enjoy creating compelling costumes to help transport audiences into the theatrical worlds we create for them.

I began working with the Stageworks Theatre (formally known as the Houston Family Arts Center) in May 2015 doing pieces for Evita and 1776. I was Costume Designer for Into The Woods. Most recently, I was Costume Designer for Damn Yankees.
